Congratulations to the Debate team for winning 1st place at the 10th Annual Fairchild Challenge in Environmental Debates. The team comprised of Alex Bornote, John Cevera, Wilfredo Navarro and Alex Aguirre [pictured above] swept the competition, ranking 1st overall. The Fairchild Challenge holds an annual school debate with 25 Miami-Dade schools and over 120 students. The team will be honored at the annual Fairchild Awards on May 16, 2012. The debaters faced competition in all different fields of the environment including placing 6% surcharge on bottled water, recycling phosphorous and reforming the Clean Water Act.
